  • The Largest M&A Deal of the Week:
  • On March 25, 2024, Standard Wellness Holdings, LLC acquired the Cannabist pharmacy in Springville, UT.
  • The acquisition makes the company vertically integrated in the state.
  • The acquisition was completed using cash and a seller’s note; however, the transaction price was not disclosed.
  • Utah has an adult population of 2.29 million with projected total legal cannabis sales of between $135M -160M. This would give sales per adult between $59 and $70, figures that are pretty low but consistent with the fact that the state does not allow either smokeable products or edibles. There is clearly room for significant growth as allowable diagnoses and form factors liberalize over time. There has been little discussion of adult use in the state.
