    • Surprisingly, given the recent passage in the House committee of an amendment to the upcoming farm bill that would significantly harm the hemp industry, hemp sector credit stats actually improved in the week that ended 5/24/24.
    • The median total liabilities to market cap, which is the most highly weighted leverage indicator in the Viridian Credit model, declined to 1.28x from 1.35x last week.
    • Liquidity also improved as measured by Viridian’s bespoke indicator, free cash flow adjusted current ratio, which improved from .50x to .61x
    • All eyes are on the sector, which has ridden the wave of intoxicating hemp products to increasing profitability that is now threatened by state and federal legislation.
